On the 11th of August 2016, the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, Sir Algernon Heber-Percy KCVO presented Kudos Blends with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise at a champagne reception held at the Kudos Blends site. Dinnie Jordan, founder and Managing Director of Kudos Blends, was presented with the award in the presence of the 40 members of staff and over 30 guests. The guests consisted of members of the Shropshire and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chambers of Commerce, local politicians, councillors, and close friends of the company.

The Lord Lieutenant praised Dinnie and the team, saying ‘you obviously have a very happy team all around you and that is shown by all of these faces and the enthusiasm that I can see going around your site. It is a very, very special place and a wonderful company’.

Not only were Kudos Blends celebrating this amazing achievement, we were also raising a glass with Univar and signing the contract for our European distribution agreement. Univar is a world leader in the distribution of chemistry and associated products. Working with carefully selected distribution partners across the world is part of Kudos’ strategy to fulfil ambitious growth plans and continually develop our sales.

Dinnie was very thankful to Sir Algernon and her team, ‘a massive thank you to the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire for being here. We have worked incredibly hard for this award and I couldn‘t be more proud or grateful to my team, it honestly couldn’t have happened without them.’

The Lord Lieutenant was taken on a tour of both the technical centre and factory, giving him an insight into how products are developed, produced and shipped around the world.
