Kudos Blends’ commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in food safety has been further strengthened following the successful completion of a specialist training programme by our Quality Team.
Members of our Quality Team completed an “Instructor Skills for the Food Industry” training course, where they expanded their knowledge of training skills and how these can be applied across the business.
The two-day course, provided by SQT Training and hosted by Edel Adams, focused on why food safety and health and safety training is so important within a food business. It also explored how to identify training needs, plan sessions effectively, and confidently deliver training to relevant staff.
A key part of the workshop was understanding how people learn in different ways and at different paces. This helped the team look at how to create the right environment for learners – making training not just more effective, but also more engaging and enjoyable, helping people retain more of what they learn.
As part of the course, delegates were asked to create and deliver a 10-minute presentation to the group. This “show and tell” style challenge was a great opportunity to hear others’ thoughts and approaches, while also boosting confidence for delivering presentation-style training sessions.
The team are now looking forward to putting these new skills and techniques into practice. The training will be used to further develop the internal training methods already in place at Kudos Blends, strengthening site-wide knowledge of food safety and reinforcing the importance of everyone’s role within the business.
“We’ve come away with some really practical ideas that we can start using straight away. It’s been a great opportunity to build confidence, and we’re excited to strengthen the training we already have in place.” Nikki Weaver, Quality Manager
