Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme, “Action”, encouraged people and organisations alike to take steps towards improving wellbeing and strengthening support for mental health. At Kudos Blends, we used this opportunity to reflect on the support systems and facilities we currently have in place and to consider how we can continue to improve the well-being of our team.
We recognise that mental health can affect anyone at any time, and that creating a supportive workplace is an ongoing responsibility. A positive working environment is not only important for productivity, but also for ensuring that employees feel valued, listened to, and supported throughout their time with us. We understand that challenges can arise both inside and outside of work, and having accessible support available can make a real difference.
As part of our company health plan, all employees already have access to a dedicated health and wellbeing app, alongside a confidential 24-hour helpline for whenever support is needed. These resources provide professional guidance and assistance for a wide range of mental health and well-being concerns.
However, we also recognise the importance of offering support directly within the workplace. Therefore, we are committing to training two new Mental Health First Aiders to provide internal, on-demand support for our team members. We hope this will help foster a culture where conversations around mental health feel open, approachable, and free from stigma, and to create a workplace where wellbeing remains a genuine priority for everyone at Kudos Blends.
