Our Head of Chemistry, Anthony Eyles, has been featured in British Baker’s My Bakery Job series, which showcases the diverse careers shaping today’s baking industry.

Anthony joined Kudos Blends after completing his Master’s Degree in Chemistry, and quickly found the bakery industry to be a “fascinating space for innovation.” He began in a laboratory-based role, carrying out quality control testing, supporting research and development projects, and contributing to new product development. Over time, he took on increasing responsibilities, leading projects, working closely with customers and suppliers, and collaborating across the business, which ultimately led him into a management role overseeing a team of chemists.

At its core, his role is about guiding a team that provides “technical expertise, problem-solving and innovation,” working across departments to ensure product quality, consistency, and performance. Anthony particularly enjoys the variety the role offers, from customer and supplier collaboration to research projects and hands-on laboratory work. He described how “no two days are ever the same, which keeps it both challenging and rewarding.”
