Paul is the Senior Development Manager at Kudos Blends, bringing over 30 years of experience in the bakery industry and contributing extensive expertise and a diverse skill set.

A native of Glasgow, Paul began his journey in baking with a four-year apprenticeship and further honed his skills at the Glasgow College of Food Technology. Early in his career, he worked as a lab technician and test baker, eventually moving to England to pursue his ambition of becoming a bakery expert. Over the years, Paul has embraced a variety of roles, gaining comprehensive knowledge in baking, milling, testing, quality control, and new product development. His career spans working with both small and large bakery companies, allowing him to specialise in a wide array of bakery products and ingredients, including emulsifiers and enzyme technologies. His expertise extends to tortillas, flatbreads, sourdoughs, gluten-free products, and even noodles, with a track record of groundbreaking innovations.

Known for his professionalism and dedication, Paul continually strives to stay at the forefront of industry trends, ingredients, processes, and technologies. His approachable demeanour, collaborative work style, and deep technical knowledge make him a trusted resource within Kudos Blends. Paul’s current focus is on becoming the go-to expert for the company’s innovative baking powder technologies.

Paul lives by the motto, “Give your all in everything you do,” which he applies both professionally and personally. Committed to fitness, he runs 20 miles every week and enjoys travelling, cheering for his favourite football team, Celtic, and volunteering at his local dog rehoming centre, where he walks dogs alongside his own Shih Tzu, Rosie. A proud Scotsman, Paul loves returning home to Scotland and plans to one day move back there and rescue as many dogs as possible!
