At Kudos Blends, we think it is important to continually work to minimise any allergen contamination risk, not only in our own manufacturing processes but also for the benefit of our customers’. From February 2020, all our gluten-free products will be packaged into our new gluten-free bags.
According to the ‘Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed’, there has been a 91% increase in allergen alerts between 2016 and 2019 across Europe, with 216 alerts reported in 2019. With approximately 2.5% of the global population suffering from some form of food allergy, it is crucial for consumers’ health to reduce the risk of allergen contamination.
The unique design and colour of these bags will help easily identify and distinguish our gluten-containing products from our gluten-free containing products, helping with the effective management of allergen-free products.
